Jack is the founder of J.L. Farmakis, Inc. and is the present CEO. Jack has been involved with ag selling since 1952, where he worked with Farm Journal in helping to create and sell demographic editions until the late 1960's. In 1972, Jack founded a national sales firm, starting with farm newspapers, ag broadcasting and eventually mortgage banking.

Jack has also been a general manager of profitable media and publishing firms, combining his entrepreneurial business spirit with an in-depth knowledge of each industry.

Bill Farmakis -President

Bill is the President of J.L. Farmakis, Inc. and has been with the firm for over 14 years. Bill graduated from Babson College, a business school specializing in marketing and small business. He worked for IBM in New York City for 9 years in sales and marketing, working on the Time Inc. and Bell Atlantic accounts. In 1991, Bill joined J.L. Farmakis, Inc. as the Eastern Sales Manager and became President of J.L. Farmakis, Inc. in 1998. Bill is presently treasurer of The National Association of Publishers Representatives and the eastern chapter of the National Agri-Marketing Association.

Russ joined JL Farmakis, Inc in July 1977 after graduating from Iowa State University with degrees in Ag Journalism and Animal Science. Since 1977 he has been located in the Cedar Rapids area responsible for various Midwestern sales territories and is currently VP of Midwest Operations. During his sales career he has been involved in developing the Midwest Farm Newspaper Group and creating several proprietary, multimedia communications tools for agricultural companies. Russ was a student National AgriMarketing Association member and continues to be involved in NAMA serving on the executive committee from 93-96 and currently is a director on the AgriBusiness Educational Foundation. He resides in Mt Vernon, Iowa with his wife Vickie and five children. His interests include many outdoor activities, woodworking and youth ministries.

Patti began her career with J.L. Farmakis, Inc. in high school as a clerical intern. She graduated from the University of Colorado In 1992, receiving degrees in Economics and Finance. After working in Denver , she returned to the east coast and rejoined J.L. Farmakis, Inc. in 1995. Currently heading up the radio team, she also handles all of our technology. She enjoys music, skiing, travel and her two cocker spaniels, Tony and Belle.

Luann has worked for J.L. Farmakis, Inc. for 12 years and is currently the Office Manager for the Midwest Office. She has been instrumental in developing the Midwest Farm Newspaper group and its brochures. She graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Journalism with an emphasis in broadcasting. Luann is the 2000-2001 Cornbelt NAMA (National Agri-Marketing Association) Chapter President.

Jeanne joined the J.L. Farmakis sales team in 1997. Jeanne has experience in other sales organizations having sold both print and radio for nearly seven years. A native of Wisconsin and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Jeanne has also worked on the account service side of the business at Miller Meester and Colle McVoy, Inc. Jeanne is a former chapter president and national committee chairperson for the National Agri-Marketing Association. She is an avid college hockey fan and enjoys gardening, traveling and playing golf.

Bob is the newest member of the Farmakis sales team. Bob brings a wealth of experience to the team with his diverse agency background. Bob graduated from the University of Kansas and held account and media positions at both Valentine Radford and McCormick Advertising. Bob is an avid golfer.

Anne and her husband, Paul, are the proud parents of twins, Michael and Deanna, and are lifelong residents of Norwalk, Connecticut. In addition to Anne's active volunteer role with the Norwalk VFW Post, she enjoys music and traveling to the Caribbean with her family.
