Digital copies on the increase for BPA member titles
Oracle Magazine again claimed the top position in BPA Worldwide’s ranking of member publications by digital subscribers for the period December 2007. Oracle reported 122,827 digital copies on its December 2007 circulation statement—an 18.2% increase over the June 2007 cycle. Digital copies now make up more than 20% of Oracle’s total subscriber base.
BPA's Canadian division, CCAB, responds to inaccurate claims by rival ABC
This is an open letter to all media auditing stakeholders. It is intended to provide pertinent information that was left out of most media coverage about three major Canadian newspaper publishers changing their circulation auditor from ABC to Canadian Circulation Audit Board (CCAB).
Much ado is being made over the news that three major newspaper publishers decided to change their circulation audit service provider from ABC to the Canadian Circulation Audit Board (CCAB), a division of BPA Worldwide, last week. It is much ado about nothing.
CCAB creates Newspaper Advisory Board for Canada
The Canadian Circulations Audit Board, (CCAB) has announced the formation of a new advisory board for the Canadian newspaper industry. This tripartite board, with representation from newspaper owners, advertisers and agencies, is independent from the existing CCAB magazine board. Members of the CCAB Newspaper Advisory Board have agreed to participate in order to help the newspaper industry shape media measurement policies and guidelines focusing on the unique characteristics of the Canadian market.
Circulation auditing close to achieving critical mass in GCC market
Market demand for media owners in the United Arab Emirates to have their titles independently audited has “passed the point of no return” according to a case study of the CASTOR initiative, the region’s Circulation Audit Steering Organisation, published this week.
