Joe Vyzourek
Joe Vyzourek grew up on the family farm just east of McDonald in Northwest Kansas. While growing up, Joe grew to appreciate the importance ag broadcasters have to a rural community. While in high school, Joe was active in the FFA and student council. He later attended Colby Community College and earned a degree in radio broadcasting in 1998.
For the last 13 years Joe has been the morning announcer on KXXX radio, where he helps produce the KXXX Auction Block, a program that has been on the air since 1948. His show features several local and regional ag reports, most of which he produces. Agriculture remains very important to Joe and his parents still operate the family farm, which has been in existence for 100 years.
The Kansas Association of Broadcasters awarded Joe the small market DJ of the year in 2004, 2006 and most recently in 2010. Joe has received several other awards over the years for severe weather coverage, commercial production and pre-recorded public service announcements.
Joe, along with his wife, Becca, live in Colby and have 2 children, Tanner and Hayden.
